Dressage classes follow current USEF, USDF, FEI, USEA, or WDAA rules as appropriate, with the exceptions stated below. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are compliant with all relevant rules.
- Helmets meeting or exceeding ASTM standards are required for ALL riders when mounted regardless of riding discipline.
- Hoof boots that are designed as an alternative to traditional shoes or wraps and intended to protect the sole of the horse’s hoof from wear and concussion will be allowed regardless of the boot design.
- USEF Dress Code (DR120) Exception:
– For all test levels, riders are not required to wear a riding coat. When a coat is not worn, shirts must have sleeves (long or short) and a collar, without neckwear. - USDF Musical Freestyle Rule Exception:
– There will be NO prerequisites for riding a Freestyle test at any level.
